Hi! I'm Tiffany,

Welcome to CHOOCHOO-ca-CHEW
where I share food adventures

I’m a visual storyteller who loves sharing food and culture through the lens of photography.
Fun facts about me: I was born and raised in Taiwan, moved to Rochester MN, a small town (comparing to Taipei), a few years ago to learn more about life on the other side of the globe (literally). You’ll always find me in the kitchen or a hole-in-the-wall eatery with a camera strapped to me while I cook or eat, wandering around markets, supporting small local businesses, looking for creative makers or artists, and sipping cortados at third wave coffee shops. If I were in Taiwan, you’ll also find me in the ocean free diving or surfing.
I absolutely love learning about food businesses and help them tell their stories visually and share them with the world.

OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL IS HERE!

This YouTube episode is very special as my mom is making a special appearance and talks about what she knows about the food too! Breakfasts in Taiwan can be almost anything.

Sticky rice triangles 粽子 are sticky rice (aka glutinous rice or sweet rice) wrapped in leaves- often times bamboo leaves but sometimes it can be galangal leaves too. Rice triangles or Zongzi are often eaten during the dragon boat festival but we love them so much you can find them throughout the whole year.
